As we learned as Young Women, "WE ARE DAUGHTERS of our Heavenly Father, who loves us, and we love Him. WE WILL STAND as witnesses of God at all times and in all things, and in all places ...”
Just like the support groups we attend each week, we share our thoughts here under pseudonyms for anonymity. We are all in different places in our healing, having unique experiences as we learn to let go and let God. We may need anonymity to protect ourselves or our addicted loved ones, but we also need it to protect those we love who do not bear the burden of these trials.
I am Kate. I am a mother and wife. After almost 20 years of marriage I discovered that my husband had an affair. He had been self medicating with marijuana for 10 years, slowly developed a porn addiction, and after justifying much of his behavior and suffering from depression, he slept with another woman.
After my husband (and I) hit rock bottom, we began our path of healing. I found out quickly that I couldn't do it without my Heavenly Father and Savior's help. I am so grateful for the healing power of the atonement and the truth and knowledge I find in the scriptures.
More of my story can be found throughout this blog as time goes on and under the tab "Kate's Story".
